White Peak Leisure

From Ashbourne, follow the Tissington Trail out onto the best of the White Peak Loop on this relaxed cycling route. Our White Peak Leisure cycling holidays span 2–3 days, ideal for a long weekend.

The countryside here is all lush greenery and stone-built villages, with hints at the industrial revolution that took place here in Arkwright’s Mills. You’ll explore the area along largely flat pathways shared only with walkers and horses, rolling through historic railway tunnels and along the riverside on the Monsal Trail leg of the route.

Dip into the historic spa town of Buxton, sample a proper Bakewell pudding in Bakewell itself and follow the shoreline of the gleaming Carsington Reservoir. There’s plenty of time to visit the sights and soak in the scenery on the White Peak Leisure Cycling Route.
