Explore the Pennine Hills by bike on the Pennine Bridleway, a 174-mile National Trail travelling north from Cromford to Ravenstonedale through the Peak District and the Yorkshire Dales.
This dedicated cycle route starts out with a well-surfaced ride along the reclaimed railway line of the High Peak Trail, but soon takes to the Pennines, with all the rocky climbs and steep descents that entails, including the classic mountain biking route of Roych Clough.
Expect to strike out into remote, windswept countryside along rugged old drovers’ roads and packhorse trails, passing into more pastoral countryside and the stunning expanses of Yorkshire’s limestone vistas.
We offer the Pennine Bridleway as a linear cycling holiday. If you wish to add the Mary Towneley or Settle loops to your tour, get in touch for options.
